About Your Facilitator - Tara Porter
One of Tara’s earliest memories is making bread with her mother - complete with a mini apron and footstool so she could reach the counter. She has worked within the food industry for over a decade and has helped manage and open six restaurants, catered retreats, festivals & events, delivered private & public workshops and twice have deep fried hors d'oeuvres for the Prime Minister.
She believes that our relationship with food is a window to our self-evolution. Learning about different culinary practices or ingredients is a way to open your mind to new cultures and with environmental understanding. It is a meditation, it is creative, it is exciting and a practice of paying attention + mental flexibility while fostering community, education & empowerment.
