3D Printer and Laser Cutter Certification

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will introduce participants to proper use of the Imagine Space 3D printers and laser cutters.

Certification is a basic introduction to these pieces of equipment.

  • A discussion of the types of files required for the 3D printers and the laser cutters
  • Safe and acceptable use of the equipment and tools
  • The procedures for sending print files to the 3D printers and the laser cutters
  • An overview of the policies and procedures governing the use of the 3D printers and laser cutters

A full, up-to-date, registered Ottawa Public Library card is required in order to certify in the Imagine Space.

All ages are welcome; under 13 year olds must have a parent or guardian certify with them. Under 18 year olds require a parent or guardian’s signature.

Customers must complete this certification and sign a Customer Agreement in order to access the Library’s 3D printers and laser cutters.
