Learn tips from the inside about the significant role that volunteering can play in improving your resume with tangible skills or even in landing a position!

Presented by Jennifer Imerson and Hope Makena of Volunteer Ottawa. Hope Makena is a Certified Human Resource Professional specializing in preparing young professionals to be successful in their careers.  This workshop is useful for all job seekers.

The Career Reboot Group is in its fourth season at Ottawa Public Library!  The Career Reboot Group meets once a month at three locations: Emerald Plaza, Beaverbrook and Orleans branches.  Check for other in-depth Career Reboot Group job search help workshops! 

 Workshops are targeted for those who are currently employed and are looking for a new career or career advancement. It also welcomes professionals seeking a job. Coming together in mutual support, to share and compare information, ideas, notes and strategies. Each session will begin with specific topic pertinent to job hunting (resumes, social media, networking and more) leading into an open discussion. Contributions by group members are encouraged. The facilitator will develop and maintain an ongoing list of helpful resources, groups, websites as they are discussed.  Get great advice from professionals, network with other job seekers, and boost your job searching techniques.
