Notice: St-Laurent Branch

The St-Laurent branch is closed due to a power outage. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Step 1: Contactless services inside most open branches

There are contactless services inside most of our 31 open branches, with capacity limits in place, as of June 14, 2021, except at Metcalfe Village, Orléans and Rosemount. This means:

  • Holds can be picked up on shelves and checked out at self-checkout stations.
  • Borrowed items can be returned via book drops anytime.
  • Access to PCs, Chromebooks, and printing, where these are available.
  • Hours of operation remain the same, except at Osgoode.
  • Mask-wearing remains mandatory inside, and outside in line.

For details, go to Current Branch Services.

Getting Started with Kanopy

Kanopy offers a large collection of high quality films and documentaries from art-house classics to world cinema, all available to play on your PC, phone, tablet and digital media player.

You can stream up to 4 films per month.  At the top right-hand side of page, you will see a “play credit tracker” that will alert you of how many play credits you have remaining.

You will notice that some films have unlimited access and do not count against your 4 play credits.  These are mostly films that are from the Criterion Collection.  We are happy to continue to offer unlimited access to these.

Once you start playing a film, you will have access to it for 72 hours.

All films include closed captions.  Transcripts are also available.
