Homebound services


OPL customers can request to have OPL employees regularly select Library materials and deliver them to their door every month. This free, bilingual service is available to borrowers who are confined to their home or residence for more than 3 months because of age, illness or disability and cannot visit a Library branch or Bookmobile stop.

How to register

For customers with print disabilities who require delivery of materials from the Talking Book collection, please complete and submit the Talking Book Service registration form. See the Talking Book Service description for more information.

How to choose and receive Library materials

  • Library employees select materials for you based on your profile, and/or you may also request specific titles.
  • Materials are delivered to you every four weeks, either by OPL employees or volunteers. The Library delivers to individual homes and senior residences.

Homebound Services also provides a selection of materials for institutional activity programs for seniors. Please note that not all DVDs in the collection have Public Performance Rights. Borrowing institutions are responsible for obtaining any required site licenses.
