Lights, Camera, Ottawa! Ottawa's Film Industry: Past, Present and Future

Join Ottawa Film Office Commissioner Bruce Harvey for an overview of our city’s cinematic past, and to learn where the current film industry is heading.
Did you know that Ottawa is home to one of the first films projected in Canada?

Ottawa is an attractive filming destination for all types of productions, including made-for-TV holiday films.   Bruce Harvey gives an introduction to the Ottawa film industry – its history, current landscape, and where it’s headed – with an update on plans for an Ottawa Soundstage Campus and Creative Hub and the opportunities this project presents.

This is the first in a series Lights, Camera, Ottawa!  Join us on Wednesday evenings in November and December to dive into the world of film in Ottawa!
