Love From Afar : A Company of Fools Answers Your Questions!

Meet Company of Fools writers, actors land artist live for a Q&A about their mashup of Shakespearian love stories and the digital comic! 

Ottawa Public Library is thrilled to partner with Company of Fools to offer an exciting alternative to live theatre.  Love from Afar, a completely original Shakespearian mashup, will be available as a digital comic on the Ottawa Public Library website for a limited time.  With both static and animated scenes, complete with voiceover, this comic is the perfect way to let everyone in on the action!  The mashup brings to life the love stories of Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, King Lear and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Directed by co-author Nicholas Leno, this snappy, endearing weaving of Shakespeare’s most memorable stories of the struggles and triumphs of love will keep our hearts warm.  Experience the digital comic book on Ottawa Public Library's YouTube channel. The video will be available Monday, October 5 through Thursday, October 29, and runs for 45 minutes.

Then Register to join A Company of Fools actors on Zoom for this live Q&A event on Wednesday, October 14, 2:00 p.m.  Geoff McBride, Mitchel Rose and Maryse Fernandesus will answer your questions!

Calling all teachers!  We will share a wonderful, detailed and original Study Guide prepared by Company of Fools.  This guide brings Shakespeare alive, gives information on the theme of the play as well as analysis of some of the six Shakespearean extracts used. 
We also have created a form for all to submit their questions in advance.
