Ottawa – The Ottawa Public Library’s 21st annual Awesome Authors Youth Writing Contest is underway. This contest, for aspiring young poets and short story authors, is open to writers between the ages of 9 and 17.

Ottawa – The Ottawa Public Library Board has approved the Ottawa Public Library (OPL) 2016 draft operating and capital budget. The complete budget envelope is $45.362M which includes funding for both operating and capital expenses.

The book drop will be available during the closure. The nearest alternate branches are Carp (3911 Carp) and Constance Bay (262 Len Purcell).

Ottawa – The Ottawa Public Library (OPL) will be taking part in the Big Library Read initiative from October 7-21, on a device near you.

As part of this initiative, OPL card holders will be given unlimited and simultaneous access to two eBooks for teens.
