14th Kids' Lit Café

Lovers of books and reading, young and old, are invited to drop by the Greenboro branch for a free, family-friendly event, Saturday, October 25 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. All are welcome to enjoy cookies and tea or coffee while chatting with talented local children and teen authors including Frances Itani, Rachel Eugster, Cécile Beaulieu Brousseau, Brenda Chapman, Don Cummer, Kate Jaimet, Catherine Austen, Betty Large and Mike Stewart. Other activities include a family craft center and author readings.

CBC personality, Alan Neal, will host the first two readings and will stick around to sign copies of his children’s book Ava and the Little Folk. Author Brenda Chapman will introduce her teen novel Second Chances, talk about her creative process and share writing tips and tricks with aspiring young authors. Kaleidoscope Kid’s Books will also be on hand to sell copies of the authors’ books which you can have signed by the authors themselves – a great holiday gift idea!

Come and celebrate books and reading with your child!
