OTTAWA – The Alta Vista branch of Ottawa Public Library (2516 Alta Vista Drive) will remain closed until Sunday, August 22, for major repairs to the main entrance. The extent of the repairs is greater than originally expected. The Alta Vista branch will reopen on Monday, August 23 at 10 am.
- There will be no returns or holds pickup during this time.
- The external book drops will not be available as the sorter will not be operating.
During the closure, the nearest alternative OPL branches to access Library services are:
- Greenboro branch, 363 Lorry Greenberg Dr.
- Elmvale Acres branch, 1910 St-Laurent Blvd.
- Sunnyside branch, 1049 Bank St.
The Library regrets the inconvenience.
Note that a second closure will be needed in September. Dates are still to be confirmed.
