OPL celebrates Ottawa Capital Pride with a Drag Queen Family Storytime

Aug 17 2017

OTTAWA – As part of Ottawa Capital Pride celebrations, OPL will be hosting a Drag Queen Family Storytime with Drag Queen China Doll & Drag King Master Cameron Eric Leon at the Main Branch (120 Metcalfe St.) on Saturday, August 26, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

This free event features stories, songs, and crafts selected to create a fun and family-friendly experience.

Everyone is invited to participate in creating an inclusive and interactive atmosphere, and participants are encouraged to come dressed in an outfit that celebrates who they are. Join the colourful crowd as we celebrate Capital Pride by reading, singing, and making crafts!

There is no registration required for this event, which will take place in the Children’s area on the second floor of the Main branch. OPL will also be participating in other Capital Pride events, including the Flag Raising & BBQ at City Hall (August 21), the Family Picnic in Hintonburg Park (August 23), and the flagship Pride Parade and Community Fair (August 27).
