The Granny Squares for Warmth (GSFW) group was created in November 2020 as a Barrhaven-based group with a mission to create and donate hand-made blankets in the Ottawa area. ​

In addition to blankets, members have also made and donated shawls, hats, and baby wear. ​

Join us to crochet and join granny squares, to share and learn crochet stitches and techniques and to build a sense of community by making blankets for those in need. ​
Everyone is welcome!

Get feedback on your writing (any genre) and ideas from the group. Hear the work of other writers and offer your feedback. Discuss issues about writing and publishing. Share your triumphs, trials and tribulations with a supportive, informal group.  "Pen and Paper" is just a name.  Bring any medium you want.

Join us for a free screening of The Transfiguration as part of our Unconventional Vampire movie theme for October. The film was directed by Michael O'Shea and was released in 2016. The screening will take place in our auditorium, starts at 6:00PM and is free to attend.
