    Join us for this fun and easy craft as we teach you to make coasters out of cotton fabric to place your cups, mugs and glasses on.

    Absolutely no experience with a sewing machine needed. We will walk you step-by-step through the entire process, teaching you everything that you need to know. All supplies will be provided. 

    Registration is required.

    Présentez-vous au bureau de consultation du 1er étage afin de récupérer votre copie du prochain livre. La période de prêt s’étendra jusqu’à la séance du club de lecture dédiée au livre! Notre objectif est que les livres soient disponibles six semaines avant la discussion.

    An open house for persons with dementia, their care partners and families. This program is drop-in, but if you choose to register you will receive a reminder email.

    Fun and stimulating mental activities are planned to enhance the social interactions and the connections that are built within the group. Light snacks and warm drinks are served alongside items that aim to spark conversations and reminiscing.

    Presented by Dying With Dignity Canada (Ottawa Chapter), End of Life Options (including MAiD) is a workshop to educate people about the options available to mitigate or end suffering at life's end, including palliative care, treatment options, and Medical Assistance In Dying (MAiD). Workshop includes the current legislation on MAiD, the process for applying in Ontario and explanation of the experience by a loved one.

    Explore science through Carleton University’s popular Science Cafés. Put on by the Faculty of Science. 

    You are invited to join us for lively discussions around a scientific issue of the day. Be prepared to be informed, engaged and entertained, as our professors share their scientific discoveries and research with you. Each Café includes a 30 to 40 minute talk by a scientist followed by a moderated question and answer period.

    The Science Café series is free to attend and all are welcome!
