Twenty-five years after starring in the hit 90s film Smoke Signals, Cody Lightning directs and stars in this uproarious mockumentary about a fictionalized version of himself attempting to make a sequel. When a mysterious fan offers a full budget for the film, Cody jumps at the chance, promising the full participation of the original cast. The only thing standing in his way is the small fact that the entire original cast hates him. A refreshing and occasionally raunchy comedy, this charming underdog story is a great movie about how to make a terrible one. 2023. 102 min. English with French subtitles.

2023. 102 min. Anglais avec sous-titres français.

Wallace (Radcliffe) is a medical school dropout who’s been burned by bad relationships. Just when all his friends, and even his goofy roommate Allan (Driver), seem to be finding love, Wallace decides to put romance on hold. Of course, that’s when he meets Chantry (Kazan), an animator who lives with her longtime boyfriend, Ben (Spall). The dreaded “F word” in this contemporary and hilarious romantic comedy is “friendship.” Wallace and Chantry form an instant connection, but are both committed to keeping things platonic, which might prove to be more difficult than either one of them imagined. “The F Word has charm to spare, and Radcliffe and Kazan are irresistible.”
    — Peter Travers, Rolling Stone
2013. 102 min. English with French subtitles

Courageous and emotionally powerful, Fire follows Sita (Nandita Das) and Radha (Shabana Azmi), two women living in New Delhi who are disappointed with their arranged marriages. While Sita is trapped in a relationship with her cruel and unfaithful husband, Jatin (Jaaved Jaafei), Radha is married to his brother, Ashok (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), a religious zealot who believes in suppressing desire. Lonely and lacking in love and passion, the two women begin to seek solace and friendship in each other, only to discover a passionate romantic love that must be kept secret. When it was released in the late 1990s, Fire’s incendiary subject matter led to protests and government interventions in India. Years later, the internationally acclaimed film is as seductive and moving as ever. The film won seven awards at film festivals around the world, including "Most Popular Canadian Film" at the Vancouver International Film Festival. 1996. 104 min. English only.

Not your average film about hockey, nor your average musical, Score delivers loads of action, laughs and romance. Seventeen-year-old Farley (Noah Reid) has the stick-handling skills of the next Sidney Crosby – not that Farley has any idea who Crosby is.

He’s led a sheltered life, home-schooled by parents (Olivia Newton-John and Marc Jordan) whose idea of extra-curricular activities are trips to an art gallery or an ashram.

His only real friend is Eve (Allie MacDonald), the girl who’s lived next door nearly his entire life. Much to the dismay of his parents, Farley loves to play shinny with the local rink rats (Dave Bidini and Hawksley Workman, among others). When the coach of a local hockey team (Stephen McHattie) spots him, Farley is drawn into the seductive hockey arena – while trying to stay true to his non-violent principles and juggling an ever-changing relationship with Eve.
