    Get ready for a storytelling adventure that will test the limits of your imagination. We are playing Lasers & Feelings, a beginner-friendly science-fiction roleplaying game. Get ready to stretch your imagination muscles with a bit of storytelling, puzzles, aliens, and dice!
    Registration required (space is limited to 6 participants). Ages 10-14.

    You are the crew of the interstellar scout ship Raptor. Your mission is to explore uncharted regions of space. Your ship captain, having suffered an attack by the strange psychic entity known as Something Else, is recovering in a medical pod. You must fend for yourselves (and keep the ship safe) while he recovers!

    For this program, Parrot Partners will bring at least 3 parrots, from different areas of the world, ranging in size from very small and ‘spunky’ to massive and ‘mellow.’  We introduce each parrot, one at a time, and share interesting and entertaining facts and stories about their natures and lives in the wild and in our homes.   Participants will be offered the opportunity to give our parrots a treat or drink from a safety cup or feeding skewer, as well as pose for photos with the parrots. Family program for ages 4+.

    Learn beginner-level ukulele in a fun and engaging way with our resident musician, Amir. Take your first steps with the instrument, learn the chords, and even play your first songs! Instruments provided by the library. Ages 9-12.

    Learn about the solar system by making a space-themed wreath! We will be painting, colouring on cut-out planets, and adding glittery star stickers.

    Looking to get your first credit card? Want to learn more about credit? During this session, you will learn about the myths around credit, the facts around credit reports, credit ratings, and credit scores alongside strategies on how to protect or repair your credit.  

    Presented by the Credit Counselling Society.

  • Munchkin board game; teenage mutant ninja turtles edition

    Cowabunga, dudes!  Try out the classic board game Munchkin with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles twist.  This game combines the dungeon-exploring aspects of Munchkin with the characters and fighting styles of TMNT.  Players can play as the turtles, April, or Casey as they race to be the first one to reach the Level 10 Pizza Parlour, fighting monsters and collecting their loot along the way.

    Ages 13+.  Registration Required.  Spaces limited.
