Get feedback on your writing (any genre) and ideas from the group. Hear the work of other writers and offer your feedback. Discuss issues about writing and publishing. Share your triumphs, trials and tribulations with a supportive, informal group. 

Storytelling Open Mic is a perfect place for newcomers to discover oral storytelling in a warm and supportive atmosphere or for more experienced tellers to test out new stories. Listeners are needed and welcome! You will hear folk tales, historical pieces, fractured fairy tales, true personal stories, recitations, ballads, and original stories - ranging from funny to poignant. Attendees can listen or tell a story 5-10 minutes long. In collaboration with Ottawa Storytellers.

Join us as we share the enjoyment of reading and discuss books in a relaxed atmosphere. All are welcome.

The book club  meets on the third Thursday of each month at 10:15-11:30 except July, August and December, when there is no meeting. You can place a hold on library copies in advance.   

Learn to create beautiful, delicate, raised images from paper strips. You’ll use a few basic tools to wind the paper strips into coils to create a note card. All levels are welcome.

Supplies will be provided.
