    Parka, Parks Canada’s loveable mascot has gone missing! Let’s go on an adventure to find her. Along the way, we’ll learn some new skills and participate in activities that will get us up and moving! By the time the workshop is done you’ll be an expert in packing your backpack for an outdoor adventure, knowledge of local wildlife, building a campfire, and the constellations you can see in the night sky. Come adventure with us! For families 4+. /

    Parka, la mascotte adorable de Parcs Canada, a disparu ! Partons à l'aventure pour la retrouver. En chemin, nous apprendrons de nouvelles compétences et participerons à des activités qui nous feront bouger ! À la fin de l'atelier, vous serez un expert en préparation de votre sac à dos pour une aventure en plein air, en connaissances sur la faune locale, en construction d'un feu de camp et en identification des constellations visibles dans le ciel nocturne. As they explore these questions through games and investigations, kids can enjoy a face-to-face visit with a rabbit, and pet its soft fur through this program with the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum.

    Family program for ages 4+.

    The documentary series North Star follows the inspiring journey of Laurie Rousseau-Nepton, a resident astronomer at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope. As principal investigator for the facility’s SIGNALS project, she heads a team of some 60 researchers. Together, they’re attempting to unravel the mysteries of star formation and better understand the role that stars play in the Universe.

    Directed by Patrick Bossé, the series chronicles the remarkable daily life of this Quebec-born Innu scientist.

    La série documentaire Étoile du Nord suit le parcours inspirant de Laurie Rousseau-Nepton, astronome résidente au prestigieux Télescope Canada-France-Hawaï. À la barre de son projet, SIGNALS, elle dirige une équipe d’une soixantaine de chercheuses et chercheurs. Ensemble, ils tentent de percer le mystère de la formation des étoiles pour mieux comprendre leur influence sur l’Univers.

    Réalisée par Patrick Bossé, la série présente le quotidien hors du commun de la scientifique québécoise d’origine innue.
