    Ottawa Bad Movie Nights and Ottawa Public Library present a screening of Xanadu (1980).

    Please join us from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, at the OPL's Main Branch Auditorium. The event will also feature other bad movie items like trailers and serials.

    The film is free to attend, In English subtitles.

    On the eve of May Day 1898, Lady Aberdeen summoned the daughters of Ottawa's "finest families" and challenged them to make it their mission to help others; to carry their talents and concerns forth into the world under the banner of service.

    Thus was born the May Court Club: an organization that answered Lady Aberdeen's call admirably. For over a century, the Club's members fought tuberculosis and provided care and support to those in need.

    Come hear Nancy Pyper, former president of the May Court Club of Ottawa, recall the remarkable legacy of this organization.
