    Hungry for good books?  Then register for our YA book tasting party and come discover our best recommendations.  Sit at our tables and we’ll serve you trays of books that you can sample.  Look at their covers, read the back-cover blurbs, look through their first few pages and write down the name of the books that interest you.  Come sample a variety of books, watch book trailers, hear some quick booktalks, chat with other teens who read and checkout your favourite books to read this summer.  Ages 12-17.

    Get ready for a storytelling adventure that will test the limits of your imagination. We are playing Dungeons & Dragons. Ages 13-18. Registration required. Space is limited to 6 participants.

    Please note that we will be running the same adventure multiple times this summer.  Please only register for one of the available sessions.

    Learn the basics of using a sewing machine and make a book tote! The club consists of four sessions over a one-week period. Must be able to commit to all four sessions. All supplies will be provided.

    A Digital Story is a powerful Media and Digital Literacy activity, created by weaving digital photographs, video, voice, text and music into a digital video project. Participants will get the chance to reflect on the self and identity.

    This personal narrative documentary workshop provides an easily-accessible opportunity to reflect on your own strengths, culture, responsibilities, and dreams for your future.

    For ages 13-18. Returning film makers who participated last summer are welcome! Presented by Hands On Media.

    Each participant will need: One iPad, laptop, Chromebook or desktop computer.

    • Monday: Pre-Production: Brainstorming ideas, Storyboarding our narration.
    • Wednesday: Production: Photography Composition, collecting elements we need.
    • Friday: Post-Production: Recording our voice, using iMovie to edit, adding sound & titles.

    Registration required. Registrants will receive an additional email with the Zoom link ahead of the program.

  • Marvel United X-Men Board Game

    Combine your love of board games and X-Men and play Marvel United: X-Men Edition!  Play as heroes Storm, Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Professor X, and Beast to defeat villains Magneto, Mystique, Juggernaut, and Sabertooth.  Or, if you're feeling morally grey, you can even play Magneto and Mystique as anti-heroes.

    Working as a team of up to 4 players, you will draw cards and strategize to defeat the villains before their Villainous Plot goes off and ends the game.

    For ages 13+  Registration Required.  Spaces limited.

    You are the crew of the interstellar scout ship Raptor. Your mission is to explore uncharted regions of space. Your ship captain, having suffered an attack by the strange psychic entity known as Something Else, is recovering in a medical pod. You must fend for yourselves (and keep the ship safe) while he recovers!
