  • Sensory Storytime, Mothercraft Ottawa

    Our Storytime welcomes and respects the needs of children aged 0-6 years living with developmental disabilities and/or Autism, who may face barriers related to sensory experiences, show signs of, or are at risk for a developmental delay.

    A family member must be present for the entirety of the event.

    Offered in partnership with Mothercraft Ottawa.

    Dr. Amadou Ba is a historian, political scientist, researcher and writer with a PhD in History, a Master’s in Political Science and a Bachelor’s in Education. Currently, Amadou Ba teaches in the School of Education and the Department of Political Science at Laurentian University  and teaches African History at Nipissing University. He will talk about some of the history and contributions of the Black community in Canada.  

    Registration required. Registrants will receive an additional email with the Zoom link ahead of the program.

    Historien, politologue, chercheur et écrivain, Dr Amadou Ba est titulaire d'un Doctorat en Histoire, d'une Maîtrise en Science Politique et d'un Baccalauréat en Enseignement. Il discutera des faits historiques relatant les contributions de la communauté noire au Canada.  

    Inscription requise. Les participants inscrits recevront un courriel supplémentaire contenant le lien Zoom avant le début du programme.

    Let it snow! Come out and stay outside for winter fun. We will explore art in the snow, build with snow, make seed bombs for the birds, and play some outdoor winter games. If it gets too cold, the event will go inside - otherwise, bundle up for snowy fun! 

    Registration recommended.

    Mary Lambert’s highly interactive musical performance is filled with music about robins, frogs, baby chicks, green grass, budding trees, and all things spring!..... We will take a musical trip to a tropical destination to escape the winter blues, and then enjoy singing about all the wonderful things that spring to life in spring right here at home! Song, dance, colourful costumes and props and LOTS of audience participation are all a part of this  performance.
