    The Ottawa Public Library is happy to celebrate Seniors Month by offering programs for older adults every Wednesday in June, July and August.


    Participants will increase their knowledge related to mental wellness and resiliency as they age. Useful tools and ideas will be shared to help create tangible and concrete plans to support mental wellness.

    Welcome some poultry from the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum into your library visit! Listen to them cluck and coo, touch their soft feathers and watch them scratch and peck. Through fun educational activities, students explore the characteristics, needs and lifecycle of these barnyard favourites. Family program for ages 4+.

    Come meet the creatures who walk among us. There will be stories, songs and parachute fun. We will look at real animals that resemble aliens, make a space aliens craft, and navigate a huge bouncy planet obstacle course. Ages 4-6. Registration Required.

    A 90-minute collaborative story building adventure for groups of children aged 6-12. Children share, combine and vote their favourite ideas into a story fit for a picture book! They also draw colorful pictures to add more detail to the choices they've made.     Are you looking for a job? Applying for volunteer positions? Come learn all the necessary skills to do so at the St-Laurent Branch of the Ottawa Public Library, with a program offered in conjunction with BGC Ottawa.

    For ages 15-24. Please register for the program. Note that this is a program series, so please show up to each date below. There will be another series offered in August.
