This lab is equipped with bookable work stations that allow you to digitize your old photographs, slides and negatives, as well as your VHS tapes and 8mm film reels. This tour will be an orientation of the equipment, the stations and the online booking system.

Join us for a trivia night at the Beaverbrook Branch where you'll tackle questions from a wide range of categories (not just about books!) to win a prize and the respect of the trivia community.     This lecture is a demonstration of how to bring old photos back to life! The lecture will discuss different ways to digitize your photos and then provide a demonstration of how to touch them up using the free photo editing software Photoscape X (available for Windows and MacOS).

    Join the Ottawa Humane Society and learn to be a good buddy to dogs! Participants will learn how to safely approach a dog, what to do if they ever feel afraid around a dog, and explore bite-prevention tips through role-playing scenarios. Family program for ages 4+. Registration required. 

    Depending on availability, a temperament-tested volunteer dog might join us!
