    Grimpe à bord de mon vaisseau spatial. Les enfants sont invités à participer à un camp d'entraînement pour astronautes. Les participants devront faire preuve d'agilité dans un jeu de marelle galactique, apprendront à communiquer avec des signes de la main comme les astronautes et plus encore. Inscription requise. Pour les 4 à 6 ans. Inscrivez-vous afin de réserver votre place. Nous accueillerons ceux sans réservation le jour de l'événement tout dépendant de nos capacités.

    Ce programme sera également offert le 24 juillet à la succursale Vanier. 

    Climb aboard my rocket ship. Children are invited to an astronaut training camp. Participants will have to be agile in a game of galaxy hopscotch, learn to communicate like astronauts with hand signals and much more. Registration required. Ages 4 to 6. Register to reserve a spot. Drop-ins will be welcome on the day as space allows.

    This program will also be offered on July 24 at the Vanier branch.

    Learn the basics of saving seeds, plant genetics, collection techniques, storage and viability. Breed your own varieties, adapted specifically to growing conditions in the garden.​

    You want to be a creative writer. Where do you start? This workshop explores issues of creativity, imagination, and storytelling theory: point of view, pacing, or setting. This workshop is designed to spark your inventiveness and transform the mundane into the extraordinary. Come with writing implements and be prepared to start a new journey into creativity.

    We will be reading a picture book and making our own colourful planets with paint and liquid starch.

  • Children astronauts, Craft with letters forming a constellation

    Who knows where your creativity will lead you? We will talk about constellations, and you will learn how to sew your name in the stars!

    (We will be using plastic needles. Other craft options will be offered for children with low motricity skills).

    In English, with bilingual staff present.

    Learn the basics of using a sewing machine and make a book tote! The club consists of four sessions over a one-week period. Must be able to commit to all four sessions. All supplies will be provided.

    A Digital Story is a powerful Media and Digital Literacy activity, created by weaving digital photographs, video, voice, text and music into a digital video project. Participants will get the chance to reflect on the self and identity.

    This personal narrative documentary workshop provides an easily-accessible opportunity to reflect on your own strengths, culture, responsibilities, and dreams for your future.

    For ages 13-18. Returning film makers who participated last summer are welcome! Presented by Hands On Media.

    Each participant will need: One iPad, laptop, Chromebook or desktop computer.

    • Monday: Pre-Production: Brainstorming ideas, Storyboarding our narration.
    • Wednesday: Production: Photography Composition, collecting elements we need.
    • Friday: Post-Production: Recording our voice, using iMovie to edit, adding sound & titles.

    Registration required. Registrants will receive an additional email with the Zoom link ahead of the program.
