The Stittsville Creative Writing Group is a collection of people who love to write.
We meet weekly to read from text we have written on our own time during the previous week, and engage in other writing activities.
This is not a class on writing, or a workshop for manuscripts. Instead, we are people who love to write and share our works.
There are those who mostly listen rather than write, those who write prolifically but only share with the group, and a broad spectrum in between.
If your interest is in the love of writing, this group may be for you.

Once your book is complete how do you go about publishing? Join independent author John W Partington for a nuts and bolts demonstration of how to publish your work as an independent author on international distribution networks. Topics covered will be the types of publishing available, dashboards of the more common distribution sites like Amazon's KDP or Draft2Digital for e-books, and some of the other joys and pitfalls which can happen when publishing your book.
The Stittsville Branch Afternoon Book Club meet on the third Monday of most months and read a variety of fiction and non-fiction books. Registration is required.
Bring your curiosity and unleash your creativity! Join us for Mystery Craft Night, where the project is a surprise until you arrive. Whether it is painting, paper crafting or upcycling, you'll have fun experimenting with new materials and techniques.

Learn how to tell your camera to capture what you see - don't let it decide for you. Topics covered will include an understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO which can be applied to any camera that has a dial for selecting exposure settings (e.g. "A" or "Av", and "S" or "Tv"). Presented by Chris Taylor, President of the Ottawa PC Users' Group and Vice-president of the Orleans Photo Club.
