    Have questions about your own device i.e.: tablet, phone, or laptop?  Need help with e-books or other online library services?  Hazeldean staff will be available to assist you with basic tech questions.  *NO TECHNOLOGY REPAIRS* Please bring your own device and library card.

    Explore science through Carleton University’s popular Science Cafés. Put on by the Faculty of Science. 

    You are invited to join us for lively discussions around a scientific issue of the day. Be prepared to be informed, engaged and entertained, as our professors share their scientific discoveries and research with you. Each Café includes a 30 to 40 minute talk by a scientist followed by a moderated question and answer period.

    The Science Café series is free to attend and all are welcome!

    An open house for persons with dementia, their care partners, and families. This program is drop-in, but if you choose to register you will receive a reminder email.

    Fun and stimulating mental activities are planned to enhance the social interactions and connections built within the group. Light snacks and warm drinks are served alongside items that aim to spark conversations and reminiscing.

    Demo on how to enhance your photos by adjusting light, colour, and composition using free photo editing software (Photoscape X) available for both Windows and MacOS. Presented by Lynda Buske from the Ottawa PC Users' Group and the Orleans Photo Club.

    If you hand sew, quilt, knit, crochet, needlefelt, cross-stitch, embroider, needlepunch, english paper piece or any other handcraft, please join us for a fun, welcoming get together to work on your own projects.

    Everyone and all ages welcome. Looking forward to meeting new friends and hope to see you there! 

    You will also be able to share good condition crafting items that need a new home at the 'give away table’.
