    Join this 1-hour hands-on session to learn to search the library catalogue, manage your library account online, and access the many services and resources available.

    The program will be held in the computer lab on the lower level of the Nepean Centrepointe library.

    Create an original artwork with professional artist Stephanie Browness. Get step by step instructions in real time as you create your own version of a pre-planned "Fall Flowers" themed acrylic on canvas work of art. All experience levels welcome. All supplies provided! Registration required - spaces are limited. 

    Stephanie Browness is a painter and art instructor who has been teaching in Ottawa for 20 years. She has worked with all age groups and firmly believes that anyone can make art. Stephanie holds a BFA in fine arts from the University of Ottawa and Master's in art history from Carleton University. 

    With special thanks for the Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association (FOPLA) for generously funding this Ruth E. Dickinson branch program.

    This club will start meeting on the 2nd Thursday of the month starting in October! Come share the enjoyment of reading books with other kids ages 9-12.

    For our first meeting on October 12, we're going to have a Battle of the Books and pick our reads for the next meetings!

    Parents and/or caregivers are encouraged to accompany their child.

    Registration required (up to 10 participants).

    We are thrilled to host Stephanie Hurman, a professional gardener for the last 25 years currently working at Artistic Landscaping.  She will be sharing her expertise in a question and answer session. 

    Stephanie’s desire to share knowledge and experience means there’s no such thing as a silly gardening question!

    She worked for many years with the Royal Horticultural Society at the gardens in Wisley, England, holds her BSc from the University of Toronto and a Post Graduate Diploma from the British Academy of Garden Design.  

    She is a plant-focused garden designer who uses her technical and horticultural knowledge to create eclectic collections that will thrive in the space they occupy.
