Late registrants and those who do not reply to the character-choosing email will be assigned a random character.

Sorry this event and its waiting list are full

Step into the relaxing world of mosaics! In this workshop you will learn the basics of creating either a functional or a completely decorative mosaic, such as a trinket box or a piece of wall art.

There will be finished samples as well as possible designs that you can use to get your creative energy flowing. You will learn how to cut small glass and ceramic tiles using tile nippers, how to use the glue to fix them to the base, and some basic techniques on using the colour and shape of tiles to achieve movement in your mosaic. After the workshop, you will leave them to dry, and then they will be grouted and polished. When you return to pick them up, you can enjoy your one-of-a-kind mosaic!

Join Marlene Marrow from the Home Hospice Association for a group-directed discussion of pet loss. The Pet Lovers Death Café brings together the pet lover population so that the topic of pet death can be normalized and compassionately discussed through encouraging open discourse and examination. Talking about our experiences and feelings related to the illnes and loss of a beloved pet can also open the door to start the conversation about our own dying and death.
