This year, the Rendez-vous de la Francophonie (RVF) marks its 25th anniversary with the theme of celebration, and for the 18th year in a row, the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) is taking part in the festivities, highlighting "the music of French"—the unique sound and feel of the French language and its diverse manifestations.

With her new film Assez French (French Enough), singer-songwriter Alexis Normand illuminates the struggle and triumph of reclaiming francophone Canadian identity on the Prairies (18 mins, French with English subtitles). We will follow the screening with a discussion in French of issues raised in the film as a part of our weekly French Conversation Group.
