    Bring an idea and/or a simple picture you might like to recreate and try your hand at the Japanese style paper collage technique called chigiri-e (torn paper art)

    We will provide the space, glue, and paper to create your piece of art!

    (Chigiri-e is a Japanese art form in which the primary technique uses coloured paper that is torn to create images, and may resemble a water colour painting).

Join us for a trivia night at the Beaverbrook Branch where you'll tackle questions from a wide range of categories (not just about books!) to win a prize and the respect of the trivia community.     Presented by Dying With Dignity Canada (Ottawa Chapter), End of Life Options (including MAiD) is a workshop to educate people about the options available to mitigate or end suffering at life's end, including palliative care, treatment options, and Medical Assistance In Dying (MAiD). Workshop includes the current legislation on MAiD, the process for applying in Ontario and explanation of the experience by a loved one.

    Présenté par Mourir dans la dignité (section d’Ottawa), l’atelier Options de fin de vie (y compris l’aide médicale à mourir) vise à fournir de l’information sur les options offertes pour atténuer ou faire cesser les souffrances en fin de vie, dont les soins palliatifs, les options de traitement et l’aide médicale à mourir (AMM). On y abordera la législation actuelle en matière d’AMM, le processus pour la demander en Ontario et l’expérience pour les proches.

    Adults are invited to get creative and make a no-pressure, awful piece of art. All supplies will be provided. We will put out random art supplies; what you make is entirely up to you! Make it as bizarre and ridiculous as you wish. At the end of the night, you will get to judge your fellow artists’ work and decide which is the worst!
