    This Family Storytime will take us into Canada's past with select historical objects from the Canadian Museum of History’s signature exhibition and the Canadian History Hall. Drop-in event starts at 10:30 am (30 minutes).

    Donne vie à tes rêves de tes propres mains. Nous commencerons en dessinant et en créant des étoiles pour faire des vœux, puis nous apprendrons quelles constellations les étoiles peuvent former. Ensuite, tu feras un vœu sous une étoile filante. Inscription requise. Pour les 4 à 6 ans. Inscrivez-vous afin de réserver votre place. Nous accueillerons ceux sans réservation le jour de l'événement tout dépendant de nos capacités.

    Ce programme sera également offert le 9 août à la succursale Gloucester nord. 

    Make your dreams come true with your own hands. We will start by drawing and creating stars upon whitch to wish and we will learn what patterns can stars make. Then, will you make a wish upon a shooting star. Registration required. Ages 4-6. Register to reserve a spot. Drop-ins will be welcome on the day as space allows.

    This program will also be offered on August 9 at the North Gloucester branch.

    Parka, Parks Canada’s loveable mascot has gone missing! Let’s go on an adventure to find her. Along the way, we’ll learn some new skills and participate in activities that will get us up and moving! By the time the workshop is done you’ll be an expert in packing your backpack for an outdoor adventure, knowledge of local wildlife, building a campfire, and the constellations you can see in the night sky. Come adventure with us! For families 4+. /

    Parka, la mascotte adorable de Parcs Canada, a disparu ! Partons à l'aventure pour la retrouver. En chemin, nous apprendrons de nouvelles compétences et participerons à des activités qui nous feront bouger ! À la fin de l'atelier, vous serez un expert en préparation de votre sac à dos pour une aventure en plein air, en connaissances sur la faune locale, en construction d'un feu de camp et en identification des constellations visibles dans le ciel nocturne. Venez vivre l'aventure avec nous! Programme familial pour les 4+ ans.

    Are all rabbits the same? What do they need? What is a hare and where does it live? Does it have predators? As they explore these questions through games and investigations, kids can enjoy a face-to-face visit with a rabbit, and pet its soft fur through this program with the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum. Family program for ages 4+.

    The YOU-nique program is all about empowering what makes you – and the animals around you - unique. Discover each animal's unique adaptation, how it makes them all special and how all the animals also benefit from each other's unique characteristics to overcome and problem-solve together. Family program for ages 4+. | Le programme YOU-nique, c’est la chance de faire briller ce qui te rend – tout comme les animaux qui t’entourent – unique. Découvre comment s’adapte chacun des animaux, ce qui les rend spéciaux et comment leurs caractéristiques propres leur permettent de s’entraider pour surmonter et régler leurs problèmes. Alors qu’ils explorent ces questions par le jeu et l’enquête, les enfants font aussi connaissance avec un lapin et caressent sa douce fourrure avec le Musée de l'agriculture et de l'alimentation du Canada.     Drop-in for a mini-museum experience with History Box! Reach into Canada’s history and discover mysterious objects of the past. These authentic and reproduction artifacts are on loan from the Canadian Museum of History’s signature exhibition and the Canadian History Hall. 

    Each object connects us to our Canadian history and the history of those who came before us. Explore Canadian Identity, Geography and the Environment, Indigenous and European Relations and Symbols, Art and Cultural Expression.
