Frédérique est une artiste qui peine à vivre de son art à Montréal dans les années 1980. Elle est sous le choc d’obtenir la garde de Rosie, la fille de sa sœur d’accueil récemment décédée. Alors qu’elle est sur le point de se faire expulser de son appartement et ne désire aucunement devenir mère, elle doit compter sur la famille qu’elle s’est choisie, deux aspirantes stars du drag Flo et Mo, pour prendre soin de la fillette turbulente et la garder hors du système de placement familial que Frédérique déteste.

With an impending eviction from her apartment, and no desire to be a mother, she must rely on her chosen family – two aspiring drag stars Flo and Mo – to take care of the spirited youngster and keep Rosie out of the foster care system that Frédérique herself hated.
