75 minutesBeaverbrook branch is happy to welcome Kenneth Oppel to discuss his book Airborn, the first title in an adventure trilogy set in an alternate past in which airplanes have never been invented, and everyone travels on magnificent airships.
Ages 9-12.

Kenneth Oppel is a Canadian author, that has been writing for over 27 years, when his first book came out in 1985 (when he was still in high school). He has been writing ever since. Oppel has won many literary awards, such as the 2004 Governor General's Literary Award. Oppel was born on August 31, 1967 in Port Albert, BC and spent most of his childhood in Victoria, BC. He currently lives with his wife and three children in Toronto, Ontario.
