    Come join the Ottawa Municipal Liaisons of NaNoWriMo for a few hours of writing and chatting during Camp NaNoWriMo!

    Camp NaNoWriMo is your next, great writing adventure! This month-long writing challenge takes place every April and July, and offers you the flexibility to try something new with your writing. The key differences between Camp NaNoWriMo and our November writing challenge are that during Camp, you can set your own word-count goal, and you can officially tackle any kind of writing project, novel or not.

    Join us to discuss books from the science fiction and fantasy genres each month.  All are welcome.  Registrants are responsible for securing a copy of the book to read or listen to.

    This month's book is Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo.

    Do you love browsing through cookbooks and trying new recipes?  Then come and meet with fellow food enthusiasts and put a cookbook to the test! Each month we will follow a theme and select cookbooks from that theme. We will then make recipes at home and share comments on the results with the group.

    Already played some DnD and looking for a fun game to join? Give this one-session-long adventure a try!

    D&D is a popular fantasy role-playing game in which your characters explore, solve puzzles, and fight or outwit monsters. Meet new players as you undertake an adventure in this popular game!

    For this adventure, you must build your own Level 2 character, so you must register at least 6 days in advance to create your character and submit their stats-sheet for DM approval before game-day. Late registrants will be assigned a random pre-generated character.

    • What Rhymes with Toxic by Lynn Smith (2021) 5 minutes
    • Sovereign Soil by David Curtis (2019) 1 hour and 31 minutes

    These films have not been rated for age appropriateness. Recommended for ages 14+.

    Calling all Crafters! ​​

    Celebrate Earth Day by bringing in all those art supplies you don't need and swapping them for new ones! Help divert materials from landfill and give them a chance to be used by someone else.​

    Drop off materials at the Children's Information Desk anytime between April 15 and April 21.​​

    Guidelines:
    Items must be in new or like new condition.​​
    Only arts and craft materials will be accepted​​.
    Must fit into your car​​.
