    Join us for an introduction to the art of nature journalling. Reflect on nature interactions in your everyday life through guided prompts.

    Wednesday, November 1 – Paint a terracotta pot

    Give your favourite house plant an upgraded home by joining us to paint a terracotta pot. Follow along with the guided instructions or go rogue and follow your imagination.  

    Wednesday, December 6 – Holiday card making or gift tag making

    Welcome in the season as we make decorative cards and gift tags for the occasion of your choice. 

    All materials will be provided. Artistic talent not required!

    The Granny Squares for Warmth (GSFW) group was created in November 2020 as a Barrhaven-based group with a mission to create and donate hand-made blankets in the Ottawa area. ​

    In addition to blankets, members have also made and donated shawls, hats, and baby wear. ​

    Join us to crochet and join granny squares, to share and learn crochet stitches and techniques and to build a sense of community by making blankets for those in need. ​
    Everyone is welcome!

    Create an original artwork with professional artist Stephanie Browness. Get step by step instructions in real time as you create your own version of a pre-planned "Fall Flowers" themed acrylic on canvas work of art. All experience levels welcome. All supplies provided! Registration required - spaces are limited. 

    Stephanie Browness is a painter and art instructor who has been teaching in Ottawa for 20 years. She has worked with all age groups and firmly believes that anyone can make art. Stephanie holds a BFA in fine arts from the University of Ottawa and Master's in art history from Carleton University.
