    Thursday Oct 12, 2023 at 6:30pm
    60 minutes

Barry will perform a well rounded selection of mandolin pieces on several instruments particular to the mandolin family of instruments.  His repertoire will include pieces from JS Bach, Raffaele Calace, Thurlough O’Carolan and more. He will talk about the mandolin family instruments and their history.  His performance will surely provide an enchanting musical experience.

    About Barry

There are very few classical mandolin players in the modern world and Barry has been playing this instrument since he was six years old. As a teenager, he was a first mandolinist in the Montreal Mandolin Orchestra. He has played with many ensembles in the United States, Europe and Montreal. He currently studies classical mandolin with Jacob Reuven, a world class touring all-star in the classical mandolin world. Barry performs with a jazz quartet and as a classical soloist in the Ottawa and National Capital region.
