    This lecture is a demonstration of how to bring old photos back to life! The lecture will discuss different ways to digitize your photos and then provide a demonstration of how to touch them up using the free photo editing software Photoscape X (available for Windows and MacOS). Presented by Lynda Buske from the Ottawa PC Users' Group and the Orleans Photo Club.

    Bring old photos to life by digitizing old prints. Then touch them up by straightening, sharpening, and removing scratches & spots using the free photo editing software Photoscape X (available for Windows and MacOS).

    Although it is not necessary, if you wish to bring your laptop with Photoscape X downloaded, here are the instructions below.

    How to download Photoscape X

    To download Photoscape X you must have Windows 10 or a recent Mac OS 10.10 or higher.

    To install PhotoScape X

    • Use a web browser to go to http://photoscape.org/ps/main/download.php
    • Click on the BLUE PhotoScape X for Windows 10 button. Your web browser will take you to the PhotoScape X page at the Microsoft Store. Click on the blue Get button.
    • During the download process, your computer may also update other windows 10 apps. Please note, this may take some time before it downloads Photoscape X.

Chris Taylor, President of the Ottawa PC Users' Group, will help you with these quick and effective remedies.
