    Welcome some poultry from the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum into your library visit! Listen to 
    them cluck and coo, touch their soft feathers and watch them scratch and peck. Through fun 
    educational activities, participants explore the characteristics, needs and lifecycle of these barnyard 
    favourites. Family program for ages 4+. Register online.

    Come and discover the journey of the author and comic book writer Éric Péladeau, judge of the Awesome Authors youth writing contest. You will learn the steps followed to create a comic book and what it takes to become a comic book artist. He will also give you a few tips on how to create an exciting comic strip. Ages 9 and up.

    For children 7-12, interested in learning to play chess and finding out more about the game. Teen volunteers will be on hand to help those who are learning!

  • Sensory Storytime
    Saturday Feb 8, 2025 at 2:00pm (series runs until Jun 14, 2025)

    Join us for a program that features:

    • dimmed lighting
    • sensory toys
    • a smaller number of participants
    • an adapted circle time with stories, rhymes and songs

    During this program there will be opportunities for open play and a chance to connect with other families. The circle time portion of this program is offered in the last 20 minutes of the session. A family member must be present for the duration of the program.

    This program provides a welcoming environment and respects the needs of children from 18 months to 6 years who live with developmental disabilities and/or autism, or who show signs of a developmental delay.
