    Let your creativity flow with Pop-up Painters. Transform a blank canvas into a majestic snowy trees painting! Guided tutorial and supplies will be provided. Registration is required. Ages 8 and up.

    This program is made possible with support from Friends of the Ottawa Public Library.

    Paint me a Picture workshop is part of Emerald Plaza’s Holiday Open House. Throughout the day enjoy light refreshments, make holiday gift supplies at our crafting table, and play Chocolate Bar Bingo in the afternoon.

    Celebrate Family Literacy Day 2024 virtually with author Barbara Reid!

    Join us at Rockcliffe Park for this hybrid virtual event with illustrator and author Barbara Reid.  Barbara will show you her unique techniques in using clay to create an illustration, as she does in her books.

    We will provide the clay and tools for you to create your own clay illustrations. 

    The event will end with a Q&A.

    Celebrate Family Literacy Day 2024 with Honorary Chair Barbara Reid (virtual presenter)! Barbara will be doing a demonstration on how to use clay to create a picture. She will share unique techniques you can use to make different things. The event is pre-recorded and will be viewed in branch as we follow along to create our own works of art using clay. This event is ideal for families with children ages 7 to 12.  This program is presented in English.

    Adults are invited to learn and practice Zentangle, a fun relaxing type of art that involves drawing patterns. This art form can help people increase their focus and creativity. Supplies and instruction are provided. All skill levels are welcome!
