Some in-branch programs require registration with your library card. Please log in with your library account or follow this link to apply for a card online. You can also apply for a card in person at any of our 33 locations.

    Come plant some seeds at the library! Celebrate the arrival of Spring by starting your very own seedlings (to take home). 

    We will be reading a book, handling seeds and soil, and doing a garden related craft.  

    For ages 4 and up. Families welcome. Registration required.

    Venez planter des graines à la bibliothèque ! Célébrez l'arrivée du printemps en faisant pousser vos propres semis (que vous apporterez à la maison). 

    Nous allons lire une histoire ensemble, nous jouerons dans la terre, planterons des graines et ferons un bricolage en lien avec le jardinage.

  • How to Secure a Home Wireless Network

    Many wireless routers do not default to the most secure configuration. Make sure you are not the "low-hanging fruit" that someone will decide to attack. It is surprisingly easy to make sure your network is secure. Chris Taylor, President of the Ottawa PC Users' Group will show you just how easy it is.

    Join us for a session of Dungeons and Dragons. Beginners and experienced players welcome. Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy role playing game in which your characters explore the world, solve puzzles and fight monsters.  ​

    Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools have exploded over the last few years. They can supercharge your web searches and help you find the most relevant information. They can generate images, personalized songs, summarize long text, describe the content of videos, and more. Chris Taylor from the Ottawa PC Users' Group will show you how easily it can be done and how to detect dreaded "AI hallucinations". And you can do it all for free.

    Happy Mother's Day!

    Join us for a story followed by a Mommy & Me Paint activity! Mom and child will each receive canvases to paint that come together to make an image.

    Note: The program is limited to 1 parent and 1 guardian. One registration reserves a spot for mom and child.
