    This year, May the 4th is both Free Comic Book Day AND Star Wars Day! Stupendous!!

    While comic books are always free at the library (as long as you return them, of course) we also want to celebrate this occasion. So join us this morning at the library for some geeky (and family friendly) arts and crafts:

    • Super hero themed face painting (10:30 am to noon)
    • Star Wars themed colouring and crafts (10:30 to 1PM)
    • Make your own button with comic book art (10:30 to 1PM)

    Bonus points for anyone who shows up in costume or cosplay!!

    Learn, in simple terms, how your camera works to enable you to take better photos.  The lecture will cover tips on composition, depth of field, lighting, people pictures and how to avoid common pitfalls.
