    Drop-in and plunder the library’ supplies to create your own artwork! We will have acrylic paint, pastels, watercolors, coloured pencils, tons of magazines to use for collage. Ages 13-17. / Passe à la biblio pour créer avec tout notre matériel! Nous avons de la peinture acrylique, des pastels, de la peinture aquarelle, des crayons de couleur, des tas de magazines pour faire du collage. Ouvert aux 13-17 ans.

    Come draw, paint or sketch using different art mediums.  You are free to work on your own projects or create a new one.  Note that this is not an art lesson but rather an opportunity to try out different art material while meeting other teens who enjoy art.  Books and videos will be available to provide ideas and inspiration.  You can register for 1, 2 or all 4 sessions  For ages 13-17.

    Venez dessiner ou peindre en utilisant différents médiums artistiques. Vous êtes libre de travailler sur vos propres projets ou d'en créer un nouveau.     In this mask-making workshop facilitated by Ottawa Art Therapy Inc, participants will take a creative journey to express and uncover the layers of their true self, what is important to them, and the parts of their world where they find connection. The participants will be working with a variety of materials, allowing a multi-media approach to their process. This dynamic workshop offers not only artistic fulfillment but also a deeper understanding of who they are and a time to tap into their inner artist and connect with others on a similar journey. Ages 13-18.

    Learn the basics of how to make colourful knotted bracelets out of thread!

    We will demonstrate two beginner patters - diagonal lines and arrowheads/chevrons - to help you build the fundamental skills you can adapt into more complicated patterns.

    Use the supplies provided, or feel free to bring your own embroidery floss!

    Ages: 12 to 18

    Drop-in and learn to knit or crochet with Sunnyside's awesome Knit and Knatter club regulars!  

    We will provide yarn, needles, and crochet hooks. For children and teens ages 6 and up.

    Registration is required for each of the days you intend to attend.

    In this sculpture-making workshop facilitated by Ottawa Art Therapy Inc, participants will take a creative journey to express and uncover the layers of their true self, what is important to them, and the parts of their world where they find connection. The participants will be working tin foil and plaster of paris to frame and sculpt their figures. This dynamic workshop offers not only artistic fulfillment but also a deeper understanding of who they are and a time to tap into their inner artist and connect with others on a similar journey. Ages 13-18.
