    Come watch a family-friendly movie in English on our projector. Bring a friend, some snacks, a sleeping bag or a lawn chair! Costumes are always welcome! 

    *Note: provided seating is on straight chairs or on floor cushions. 

    Come to the library some time in June to vote for which movie we'll be showing that day : Toy Story 4 or Super Mario Bros: the movie!

    (We will be using plastic needles. Other craft options will be offered for children with low motricity skills).

    Our Knit & Knatter Club ladies will be available to teach anyone how to knit or crochet.

    We will provide yarn, needles, and crochet hooks – or bring your own!

    Learn the basics of using a sewing machine and craft your very first project: a drawstring bag. This two-hour session will take you through the steps of setting up, threading, and using a sewing machine. Registration limited to 5 spaces.

    Come discover the fascinating (and sometimes mysterious) objects in our History Box! The box contains Canadian historical objects from the Canadian Museum of History's signature exhibition, the Canadian History Hall, that will help you delve into Canada's past...

    We also invite you to bring your own family or historical artifact for a "show and tell."

    A 90-minute collaborative story building adventure for groups of children aged 6-10. Children share, combine and vote their favourite ideas into a story fit for a picture book! They also draw colorful pictures to add more detail to the choices they've made. Author Timm Holmes then performs an interactive storytelling to prove the children have become authors of an amazing story that they built together! Discover more at

    Try Dungeons & Dragons in this four-session adventure! Learn the rules and create your own character to explore and battle your way through the haunted Death House. Experienced and beginner players welcome. Please bring a 1st level character. Pre-made characters and dice provided for those who do not have their own.
