    Come and Knit Yourself a Bracelet

    Beginners Knitting Project- Bracelet

    Knitting Project- Bracelet is for entry-level beginners who are looking to learn how to cast on and cast off, knit and purl stitches. There are two mentors are available to help and step by step instructions video to assist the learners.

    Bracelet is a doable project for 2 hours

    Limited to 10 participants.

    Materials and 4 mm needles are provided for project use.

    Primarily for older adults, this guided interactive and participatory drumming experience focuses more on fun than form, and is for anyone that has wanted to learn basic hand drum patterns and share in the joy of group drumming.  No experience is necessary- just bring your rhythmic spirit! ​

    Optional - your own hand drum (djembe, bongo) or rhythm maker (i.e  empty coffee canister) There will be some extra drums and rhythm instruments available for use.​​

    Note — please bring your own foam ear plugs or noise canceling headphones if sensitive to sound. Masks are optional, in keeping with current OPL policies. ​

    What role did art play in the Cold War? How can art be used to build and promote peace? This program encourages dialogue and discussion about the role of art in peacebuilding, art as an expression of values, and how art can promote ideas. Students view examples of art from the Cold War and make their own artworks.

    Come join us for this hybrid program (in-person with presenter online) with our partner, Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum. Ages 9-12.
