    On the second and fourth Mondays of each month, this event provides an opportunity for local authors and others who enjoy good writing to discuss writing of all types (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, dramatic scripts, graphic novels, etc.) Members will have the opportunity to share their writing and exchange useful feedback. Possible discussion may also include ideas related to publishing written work.

Chris Taylor, President of the Ottawa PC Users' Group will show how to use free software that stores all your usernames and passwords along with related information and protects them with a single, very strong password. Don't let your online accounts get compromised. It's easy and free.

So, it's easy to create a website with no HTML coding being required. And it can be completely free. In this presentation, Alan German from the Ottawa PC Users' Group will show how to create a website from scratch and make content available on the Internet.

    Thrilla Thursdays are back! Except they are on Monday. But it's still Korean films so that's good. Some revisits and a couple new ones.

    Join us for a free screening of Decision to Leave. Ahhhhhhh yeeeee that's right, we playing it again. Again and again. The film was directed by Park Chan-wook and was released in 2022. The screening will take place in our auditorium, starts at 6:00PM and is free to attend.

    Note: The film is intended for a mature audience. 139 minutes. In Korean with English subtitles

Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history.

    Araminta « Minty » Ross est née esclave à Madison dans le Maryland. Elle appartient à la famille Brodess, tout comme sa mère et son père l'étaient avant elle. Un jour, alors qu'elle est âgée de 26 ans, Araminta tombe malade. Son propriétaire craignant qu'elle perde trop de valeur, il décide de la vendre. Ne désirant plus être ballottée comme du bétail, la jeune femme décide de s'enfuir. Elle trouve refuge en Pennsylvanie où elle prend le nom d'Harriet Tubman. Elle va devenir une militante en faveur de l'abolition de l'esclavage et fera tout en son pouvoir pour délivrer sa famille et ses semblables.
