Some in-branch programs require registration with your library card. Please log in with your library account or follow this link to apply for a card online. You can also apply for a card in person at any of our 33 locations.

    Viens découvrir le parcours de Pierre-Luc Bélanger, auteur et juge du concours d’écriture Supers auteur(e)s. Tu apprendras comment il est parvenu à écrire son premier roman, les différentes étapes qui mènent à la publication d’un roman et ce que ça prend pour être un(e) auteur(e). Après la présentation, il te donnera aussi quelques trucs pour réussir à créer une nouvelle passionnante ou un poème captivant. Pour les 9 à 12 ans.

    Celebrate Family Literacy Day 2025 with Honorary Chair Barbara Reid (virtual presenter)! Barbara will be doing a demonstration on how to use clay to create a picture. She will share unique techniques you can use to make different things. The event is pre-recorded and will be viewed in branch as we follow along to create our own works of art using clay. This event is ideal for families with children age 6 to 12.  This program is presented in English.

    Canadian author, Barbara Reid, uses modeling clay to create the illustrations in her books. Plasticine, and other materials, will be provided for you to create your own illustrations. All ages. Drop-in.

  • Stuffie library sleepover
    Thursday Jan 30, 2025 at 7:00pm

    Join us for an evening pyjama storytime, followed by a stuffie library sleepover to celebrate Family Literacy Week.

    Children are invited to bring their favourite stuffie to pyjama storytime, and to leave them at the library for the night. The stuffies will get into all sorts of fun and participants will receive (emailed) pictures of the stuffies library sleepover. Stuffies need to be picked up during open hours on the following day. 

       

    Rejoignez-nous pour une soirée de contes en pyjama, suivie d'une nuit à la bibliothèque pour toutous pour célébrer la Semaine de l'alphabétisation familiale.

    Les enfants sont invités à amener leur peluche préférée à l'heure du conte en pyjama et à la laisser à la bibliothèque pour une soirée pyjama. Les peluches vont bien s'amuser et les participant.e.s recevront des photos de la nuit à la bibliothèque des peluches (par courriel). Les peluches doivent être récupérées le lendemain pendant les heures d'ouverture.

    Learn how Barbara uses clay to create the illustrations in her books. We’ll provide the clay and tools for you to create your own illustrations. Recorded program in English, staff will be available to assist. Ages 6-12 years.

    Celebrate Disney's Frozen with stories, crafts and ribbon dance to the song "Let It Go".  For ages 4+.  Please register online.

    Welcome some poultry from the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum into your library visit! Listen to 
    them cluck and coo, touch their soft feathers and watch them scratch and peck. Through fun 
    educational activities, participants explore the characteristics, needs and lifecycle of these barnyard 
    favourites. Family program for ages 4+. Register online.
