Think about all the data on your PC; videos of the grandkids playing in a park, photos of your trip to Patagonia (lucky you!), tax records, emails... Now think about whether those files exist anywhere else. If the answer is no, you need to think about backing them up. You could lose data due to viruses, fire, theft, and computer issues.

Chris Taylor, President of the Ottawa PC Users' group will discuss various ways you can ensure your important data survives any catastrophe.

Unspoken Tears (Trauma Through Words) (2022) by Hélène Magny

How can refugee children integrate into Quebec’s school system, given the unspeakable violence they’ve experienced? Following a psychologist specializing in conflict-related trauma, Unspoken Tears pays tribute to the admirable resilience and survival strategies of these “small adults,” whose spirit the bombs and camps have not completely crushed, at a time when it is vital to raise awareness in Western societies of migration-related issues and children’s rights.

Do you love to write? Is writing the air you breathe, or is there ink in your veins?

The Stittsville Creative Writing Group is a collection of people who love to write.

We meet weekly to read from text we have written on our own time during the previous week, and engage in other writing activities.

This is not a class on writing, or a workshop for manuscripts. Instead, we are people who love to write and share our works.

There are those who mostly listen rather than write, those who write prolifically but only share with the group, and a broad spectrum in between.

If your interest is in the love of writing, this group may be for you.
