Access Passes (including museum passes)

16/04/2013

The Ottawa Public Library (OPL) has seven Access Passes, which are all part of the Express collection (which means you cannot put them on hold). Access Passes offer free general admission to partnered museums, galleries and other sites of interest in the Ottawa area.

Access Passes circulate according to the following parameters:

  • Limit of two Access Passes per Library card
  • No renewals
  • $2 daily fine to a maximum of $20

The seven Access Passes available from OPL are:

Please continue to think of OPL when planning an outing, and visit one of our 33 branches to borrow your free Access Pass.

* Please note: Passes may not be valid for exhibitions or events that have special admission fees. Unlike other items, OPL cannot adjust quantities based on demand because the Library receives limited numbers of these passes from our partner organizations.

Comments

Is it possible to borrow this on line, print the pass which has an expiry day on it and use. It could be controlled the same way books are and if your quota of passes is gone then Ok or option of resrrving

Unfortunately, that is not possible with these items.

Can I borrow an available pass from any location and have it delivered to any OPL location?

Hi laniboop - these passes are Express items, meaning they can't be put on hold, so they cannot be delivered to any OPL location.

The accompanying attendant is free for museum pass. Does this apply to OPL Museum Pass?

Does the pass cover the Children'a museum?
