Consider the following questions when looking for a volunteer opportunity:
Does it require a long-term commitment or is it just for a day or a week?
How far are you willing to travel?
Do you have other commitments (hobbies/sports) in your schedule that might conflict?
What are your talents?
Do you love to work with kids?
Do you like working alone or with others?
Want to be able to use your creative flair?
Take your time, think about what you REALLY want to do. Then find a volunteer opportunity in the comfort of your own home. Volunteer Ottawa has a list of sites and jobs just for teens.
