Teen Author Fest: Write on!

22/10/2012

Meet the authors for our Teen Author Fest "Write On" panel:

Max Turner is a phys.ed. and tech teacher here in Ottawa where he lives with his wife and three children. His first book Night Runner (which takes place in his home town of Peterborough) was a Red Maple Honour book and was short listed for a Sunburst award. The sequel, End of Days, was nominated for an Ottawa Book Award. He is currently working on the third instalment in the Night Runner trilogy, The New Order, which should be out next spring.

Wondrous Strange is Lesley Livingston’s debut novel, the first in a trilogy. The second book in the series, Darklight hit stores in 2009, and the third, Tempestuous came out in 2010. In 2011 Lesley released Once Every Never, an historical time-travel of epic adventure, published by Penguin Canada. Starling is her new title in an upcoming trilogy spin-off of her Wondrous Strange world.

Catherine Austen's first children’s book, Walking Backward was nominated for several literary awards. In 2011, Catherine saw the release of her first picture book, My Cat Isis, and two more novels: a middle-grade comedy, 26 Tips for Surviving Grade 6, and a teen novel, All Good Children, which won the Canadian Library Association’s 2012 Young Adult Book Award.  Catherine writes for all ages. Her projects currently on the go include a new teen novel, Every Good Boy, a middle-grade comedy, Doctor Dave, and a horror-comedy for adults, Dead Dogs.
