At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to discuss death. Our objective is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives. A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes.
During these uncertain times, having a safe and non-judgmental space is even more important as we grapple with what life looks like today and how it is affecting both our living and our dying.
Even in these uncertain times, one certainty remains...talking about death and dying.
Ottawa Public Library and Home Hospice Association are partnering to hold Virtual Death Cafés every two months online on Zoom. The registration button leads to an intake form managed by the Home Hospice Association.
